Little Beat Goes to Hollywood

Animator Boris Hiestand used the Leo Mathisen track “I Want to Be Happy” as background music for a compilation edit presentation of Børge Ring’s cartoons.

Børge Ring was honoured with the prestigious Winsor McCay Award, in recognition of a lifetime contribution in animation, presented at the 39th Annual Annie Awards on 4 February 2012.

A great animator, a great musician, and a great raconteur.

A great honour for LBR to be asked and to assist.

“I Want to Be Happy” is part of the Leo Mathisen 1940-41 “Take it Easy” CD from the Little Beat catalogue.

Gorm Valentin
